Our service-oriented practice was  formed  to  solve  our  client’s  problems  using a  user  oriented  co-design analytical process. This in turn formulates the  design  solution.  Every  good  design  integrates form and function. We go beyond  that to integrate construction know-how and sustainability. We integrate the needs of our client with the needs of everyone impacted by the space from CEO to maintenance. This creative process serves our work with clients in the profit-driven world allowing us to sustain non-profit project.



Integrated Design & Architecture (IDeA) provides services in Architecture, Planning, Sustainable Design and Construction Management.

Our current organization was incorporated November 1,1999 under the name Isaac Benton & Associates. In 2006, our name was changed to Integrated Design & Architecture to reflect our Mission of Integrating Form, Function and Sustainability.Historically 80% of our work by Dollar value has been in the Affordable Housing Sector. We are proud of our service in managing projects through the complex field of Construction to meet our Clients’ expectations. Our projects are recognized for enhancing the Community’s quality of life and contributing value to the Built Environment.  Our practice has been built by repeat clients who appreciate our no-nonsense ability.


Our firm’s size allows us to give greater personal attention to each client. We believe the full attention of our Principals in all design and decision-making guarantees your project the quality it deserves.


IDeA is committed to Principal management through all phases of our projects. This ensures continuity, expertise and quality. Bob is a member of IFMA and his public owner experience as a County Architect continues to be a great asset to our clients. Project management by our Principal in the interest of our clients has resulted in outstanding performance in our sector work.


IDeA supports “Management by Objectives”;  therefore detailed project planning is our first project priority. This planning produces optimal results: thorough work using the best resources in the least time at an acceptable cost. We understand that design involves many people with varied interests. To make sure that everyone’s interests are met, we recommend forming client and user Advisory Teams. These teams form the foundation of our Co-Design process.


Our team is well aware of the concerns, challenges, and opportunities that come with a housing project. We understand the importance of completing projects on time and within budget while meeting the Owner’s needs.  We take pride in the number of clients who have been added to our Repeat Client List. We offer a very hands-on approach to meeting project requirements throughout all phases of the project, which further reduces the need for change orders later on.
