GENERAL OVERVIEW

Santa Fe's Southside branch was designed to meet LEED Silver criteria, although it was not certified due to budgetary reasons. The buildings uses daylighting and passive solar gain to reduce heating, cooling, and lighting costs. Construction materials include Forest Stewardship Council-certified woods, formaldehyde-free composite woods, and locally produced and largely recycled materials.
